Classification of structural types of rolling bearings

Release time:2025-05-04 hits:0

Bearings are divided into:

(1) Centripetal bearings - rolling bearings mainly used to withstand radial loads, with nominal contact angles ranging from 0 ° to 45 °. According to different nominal contact angles, it can be divided into radial contact bearings and radial contact bearings with a nominal contact angle of 0 °; Radial angular contact bearing - a radial bearing with a nominal contact angle greater than 0 ° to 45 °. (2) Thrust bearing - a rolling bearing mainly used to withstand axial loads, with a nominal contact angle greater than 45 ° to 90 °. According to different nominal contact angles, it can be divided into axial contact bearings - thrust bearings with a nominal contact angle of 90 °; Thrust angular contact bearing - a thrust bearing with a nominal contact angle greater than 45 ° but less than 90 °. For more information, please refer to>>>Classification by Rolling Bearing Structure Type

2. Classify according to the size of rolling bearings

Bearings are divided into: (1) miniature bearings - bearings with a nominal outer diameter range of 26mm or less; (2) Small bearings - bearings with a nominal outer diameter range of 28-55mm; (3) Small and medium-sized bearings - bearings with a nominal outer diameter range of 60-115mm; (4) Medium and large-sized bearings - bearings with a nominal outer diameter range of 120-190mm;

3. Classified by purpose

Classified by purpose, it can be divided into two categories: 1. General bearings. 2. Special bearings. Special bearings include: 1. General bearings, which are classified according to the above two methods. 2. Special bearings: They are classified according to the occasion in which they are used. Usually divided into: (1) Rolling mill bearings: Rolling mills can be divided into double roll mills, four roll mills, six roll mills, and up to 20 roll mills. Roller bearings refer to bearings installed on the shaft necks at both ends of the work roll and support roll. Roller bearings have to withstand large radial rolling forces, and the radial space for installing roller bearings is limited. Therefore, rollers use multi row roller bearings to withstand large radial forces, and sometimes angular contact ball bearings or thrust bearings are used to withstand axial forces. Mainly using four row tapered roller bearings, four row cylindrical roller bearings, and self-aligning roller bearings.

4. Classify by usage characteristics

①.  High temperature bearings, bearings with operating temperatures above 120 ℃ are considered high-temperature bearings. High temperature bearings are mainly used in aviation jet engines, atomic reactors, X-ray tubes, semiconductor component manufacturing equipment, and various melting and plating equipment Low temperature bearings, bearings with operating temperatures below -60 ℃ are considered low-temperature bearings. Typical application scenarios are various liquid gas pumps, such as liquefied natural gas pumps, liquid nitrogen (hydrogen, oxygen) pumps, butane pumps, liquid pumps for rocket missiles, spacecraft, etc. The commonly used low-temperature bearing structures are single row deep groove ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings.

5. Combination bearings

A rolling bearing consisting of both types of bearing structures combined within a set of bearings. Such as needle roller and thrust cylindrical roller combination bearings, needle roller and thrust ball combination bearings, needle roller and angular contact ball combination bearings, etc. Several combinations of combination bearings: 1. Needle roller and thrust ball combination bearing without inner ring 2 Combination bearing of needle roller without inner ring and thrust ball with outer cover 3 There are inner ring needle rollers and thrust ball combination bearings with outer covers.

6. Bearing type

Deep groove ball bearings, angular contact ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, thrust ball bearings, thrust angular contact ball bearings

Cylindrical roller bearings, needle roller bearings, tapered roller bearings, self-aligning roller bearings, thrust cylindrical roller bearings

Thrust needle roller bearings, thrust tapered roller bearings, thrust self-aligning roller bearings
